We are exclusively partnering with a Tier-1 Mining Asset Owner to source an up-and-coming or experienced
Project Manager/Leader to deliver a package of electrical and mechanical projects across this active mining operation.
As part of the site Capital Delivery Team, you will plan and execute capital and maintenance works to optimise the efficiency of operational assets, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This is a
Monday to Friday position that requires the individual to be based or relocate to
Invercargill NZ.
Accountabilities: - Manage and deliver projects safely, on time and on budget to agreed stakeholder requirements
- Support construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activities
- Manage engineering partners through concept and detailed design phase, including document reviews, organising design reviews, responding to technical requests, and liaising with stakeholders
- Engage and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups
- Ensure the Modifications & Small Project team complies with all organizational requirements, statutory legislation, and relevant internal and external standards
- Develop a detailed implementation schedule, plan, and budget for the project execution program
About You: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, project management or equivalent related experience
- Experience in managing projects in a brownfield environment throughout the mining, construction or heavy industrial sector is strongly desired
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with an understanding of all project deliverables is a MUST
- Understanding of the full project lifecycle stages from concept, design through to execution, commissioning and handover
- Effective written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage a budget and interact across business functions
