Here at Concentis, we are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our client's mining operations team. You’ll play a key role in developing and refining maintenance documentation across a range of critical mining assets, including conveyors, crushers, screens, stackers, and reclaimers. Drawing from RCM analysis, OEM guidelines, and site-specific practices, you will ensure procedures and technical documents are clear, accurate, and aligned with operational standards. Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment where precision, efficiency, and quality are paramount.
This role will be on a 6-month contract with possibility to extend, on a 12:9 FIFO roster.
Responsibilities - Convert generic SAP PRT documents into asset-specific ones, customising photographs, diagrams, and content.
- Update and combine PRTs to improve task lists with consistent trade, interval, and operating conditions.
- Register all document changes and maintain an accurate record/log of maintenance procedures.
- Develop detailed corrective maintenance procedures and QA checklists based on OEM guidelines and site-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with trades to gather feedback and improve the quality and accuracy of procedures.
- Capture and edit photos of assets to include in PRTs and detailed procedures.
- Use MS Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce technical documents and reports.
- Ensure the accuracy and clarity of all documentation, meeting operational standards.
- Extract and integrate relevant Bill of Materials (BOM) information from OEM documentation into maintenance procedures.
- Incorporate relevant work history into documentation updates.
About You - A diploma in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in technical writing for asset maintenance or related fields.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and photo editing tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage high volumes of documentation.
