Here at Concentis, we have partnered with a global mining company to find a Construction Leader/Supervisor with an electrical discipline to lead a site-based project delivery team in Far North Queensland.

In this strategic leadership position, you will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of electrical works projects in line with cost, schedule, risk, environmental, and quality requirements.

This role is a FIFO 16/12 roster on a 12-month contract, with a pipeline of work 5+ years!

Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on supervision across active work fronts, ensuring construction activities are delivered in accordance with approved scope, methodologies, permits, ITPs and HSEQ requirements.
  • Lead work-front safety and permit compliance, including verifying JHAs, SWMS and Permit to Work requirements, identifying hazards and stopping work where controls are no longer effective.
  • Support execution planning and site readiness, including sequencing, access, interfaces, workforce mobilisation, competency verification and plant/equipment compliance.
  • Coordinate with contractor supervision to resolve work-front issues, verify construction quality and specifications, identify non-conformances and escalate emerging risks or deviations.
  • Maintain accurate construction records and reporting, while supporting incident response, commissioning, close-out, handover and site demobilisation activities.
About You:
  • Extensive experience in electrical construction supervision of projects in the mining, oil and gas or construction sector.
  • Hands on experience on site supervision and assurance of contractors, with sub-contractor management exposure seen as highly beneficial
  • Background in leading the delivery of electrical projects in a civil/mining environment.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, methodologies, specifications and ITPs to verify works on site
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, project teams and site stakeholders
  • Leadership competencies and a strong track record of HSE in the field
  • Demonstrated experience in leading contracting partners in remote locations
  • Can engage on a FIFO roster with flexible work arrangements
