Document Controller

• Permanent residential role based in Mount Isa, QLD
• Develop practical technical and operational documentation

You will join a major mining operation in Mount Isa as a Document Controller / Technical Writer, working closely with operational, maintenance and technical teams. You will develop, review and maintain clear, practical and compliant documentation that supports safe and effective site operations.

You will translate complex technical and operational information into documentation that is easy to understand and use, while ensuring documents remain accurate, controlled and aligned with site requirements. This is a permanent, full-time residential position based in Mount Isa, QLD.

You do not need an engineering qualification to be successful in this role. Your hands-on mining, industrial or operational experience, combined with strong writing and documentation capability, will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain TARAs, SWIs, procedures and work instructions
- Prepare technical reports and operational documentation
- Manage document control, versioning and quality assurance
- Review existing documentation and identify improvement opportunities
- Work with subject matter experts to capture technical information
- Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, practical and compliant

About you
- Proven experience in technical writing, document control or similar
- Mining, heavy industry, engineering or operational experience
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Experience developing procedures, work instructions or risk assessments
- Strong computer skills and confidence with document systems
- Methodical approach to document control and quality assurance
- Trade, technical or engineering background is highly regarded
