Exploration Geologist

• 12/9 roster with FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns and DIDO from Townsville
• Support RC drilling, soil sampling and geological field activities
• Join an experienced team with further exploration programs planned

You will join an experienced exploration team based in the Collinsville area, supporting exploration activities across a growing portfolio of regional Queensland projects. As a Field Geologist, you will play an important role in supporting RC drilling programs, soil sampling, geological fieldwork and the collection and interpretation of exploration data.

You will work on a 12 days on / 9 days off roster, with FIFO options available from Brisbane, Cairns and surrounding areas, or DIDO from Townsville. Accommodation and meals will be provided while on site. You will work alongside an experienced team and support an RC drilling rig, with the opportunity to contribute to current programs and upcoming exploration activities.

The exploration portfolio is continuing to grow, with additional projects planned for drilling once the wet season is complete. With a significant volume of geological data already available, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to data review and interpretation as the team expands its exploration programs.

Key Responsibilities
• Support RC drilling programs and provide geological field support
• Undertake soil sampling and other geological field activities
• Log RC drill samples and maintain accurate geological records
• Collect, validate and interpret geological field data
• Assist with exploration planning, data review and reporting
• Work closely with field technicians and RC drill crews
• Support safe and efficient day-to-day field operations

About you
• Proven background in exploration geology and field-based programs
• Experience working with or around an RC drilling rig
• Strong capability in geological logging and sample management
• Experience undertaking soil sampling and geological fieldwork
• Ability to collect and interpret accurate geological field data
• Strong commitment to safety and quality field practices
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in remote environments
