Process Metallurgist – Copper SX/EW Operations
Support copper SX/EW operations, driving metallurgy, optimization, and commissioning outcomes.
- Support SX/EW operations and improve recovery performance
- Drive commissioning, optimisation and process improvement
- Work across multiple copper processing sites in NW QLD
Working on a 12/9 roster, you will play a key role in supporting plant performance, commissioning activities, and ongoing optimisation initiatives. You will work closely with operations and leadership teams to ensure stable and efficient hydrometallurgical performance across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on technical role where your expertise will directly contribute to recovery improvement, process stability, and successful commissioning outcomes across copper processing operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Support SX/EW plant operations and metallurgical performance
• Conduct metallurgical analysis, reporting and data interpretation
• Support commissioning and ramp-up of processing circuits
• Drive optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with troubleshooting and process stabilisation activities
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams across sites
About you
• Proven background in metallurgical or copper processing roles
• Experience in SX/EW or hydrometallurgical environments
• Strong capability in process analysis and optimisation
• Exposure to commissioning activities in processing plants
• Heap leaching or electrowinning experience (preferred)
• Collaborative communicator with strong technical problem-solving skills
