Process Operator

- Operate a new fixed gold processing plant in regional QLD
- 8/6 day and 7/7 night rotating roster with 5 weeks leave
- Join a growing operations team focused on safety and performance
This role will suit an experienced Process Operator who enjoys working in a hands-on processing environment. The plant operates 24/7, and you will work an 8 days on, 6 days off and 7 nights on, 7 nights off continuous shift roster, with 5 weeks annual leave. You will work across a modern processing facility with exposure to outdoor conditions, stairs, ladders, and a physically active operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate and monitor fixed plant processing equipment
• Complete inspections and identify operational issues or improvements
• Monitor plant performance and adjust processes to optimise production
• Perform plant start-up, shutdown, and isolation procedures
• Support troubleshooting and minor maintenance activities
• Complete operational reports, log sheets, and shift handovers
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the processing plant
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
About you
• Previous experience operating within a fixed gold processing plant
• Experience across crushing, grinding, CIL/CIP, elution, gold room, or tailings operations
• Strong understanding of plant operations and troubleshooting processes
• Experience completing start-up, shutdown, and isolation procedures
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Sound mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capability
• Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts in a processing environment
• Current Australian driver licence and full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and police checks
