Project Mechanical Engineer – Dewatering
Lead critical dewatering and pumping projects supporting a major underground mining operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster.
- Lead dewatering and pumping projects across an underground operation
- FIFO from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns on an 8/6 roster
- Mining, underground or refinery project experience highly regarded
You will bring practical project leadership capability and ideally underground mining experience, particularly across dewatering and pumping. Experience in refinery environments will also be highly regarded, particularly where you have delivered projects involving complex pumping, water management or related infrastructure.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects that support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a major mining project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of dewatering and pumping-related projects
- Coordinate project activities, resources, contractors and stakeholders
- Support safe and effective project delivery across the operation
- Monitor project progress, priorities, risks and key deliverables
- Work closely with site and technical teams to resolve project issues
About you
- Proven project leadership experience within mining or heavy industry
- Strong dewatering and pumping experience is highly desirable
- Underground mining experience would be advantageous
- Refinery project experience will also be highly regarded
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong focus on safety, delivery and practical outcomes
