Due to continued growth, Promech is seeking a Senior E&I engineer with strong technical capability to further strengthen their team.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Principal EI&C Engineer, you will oversee and complete the detailed engineering design for projects to implement, or improve electrical, instrumentation and control systems or installations across a portfolio of projects.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead detailed E&I engineering design and perform calculations to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Oversee designers producing drawings to IFC level and provide engineering approval.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, reports, and project documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers.
  • Assist with project scoping, estimates, and engineering planning.
  • Support construction and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain quality outputs and strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
About You
  • 8+ years’ engineering experience, ideally within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Water.
  • Experience designing E&I from concept through to commissioning.
  • Hazardous area classification and design capability.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and construction methods.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and international standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 60079).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills.
