SMP Completion Supervisor

• 6-month contract | 2/1 FIFO Brisbane or Townsville
• SMP completions and project handover focus

We are partnering with a mining operator to appoint an experienced SMP Completions Supervisor to support the successful delivery, handover and commissioning readiness of surface plant and infrastructure works on an active brownfield site. This role will play a critical part in ensuring construction activities are completed, documented and transitioned efficiently through the completions process.

Working closely with construction, quality and commissioning teams, you will coordinate completions activities across structural, mechanical and piping disciplines, ensuring systems are progressed in accordance with project schedules and turnover requirements. Your ability to engage with contractors, drive close-out activities and maintain high-quality documentation standards will be key to project success.

This opportunity is offered as a 6-month contract on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Brisbane or Townsville. You will join a collaborative project team during a critical phase of project delivery and contribute directly to achieving construction completion and commissioning milestones.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate SMP completions activities across assigned systems
- Manage punch lists, defect close-out and turnover requirements
- Monitor progress against completions and handover schedules
- Support system walkdowns and verification activities
- Ensure construction documentation is complete and accurate
- Liaise with construction, quality and commissioning teams
- Assist with preparation of turnover packages and handover dossiers
- Support contractors in achieving completion and close-out targets

About You
- Proven experience in construction completions within mining, energy or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of SMP construction and handover processes
- Experience coordinating system turnover and completion activities
- Exposure to commissioning activities within surface process plant environments will be highly regarded
- QA/QC experience and understanding of quality documentation requirements will be well regarded
- Construction supervision experience is preferred
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment
