6-month FIFO contract supervising SMP works on a major mining project.

  • 6-month contract | 2/1 FIFO Brisbane or Townsville
  • Surface plant and infrastructure construction
  • QA/QC experience highly regarded
We are partnering with a mining operator to appoint an experienced SMP Supervisor to support the delivery of surface plant and infrastructure works on an active brownfield site. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will provide leadership across structural, mechanical and piping construction activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Working closely with contractors, project stakeholders and site teams, you will coordinate day-to-day construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with project specifications and procedures. Your ability to maintain strong safety and quality outcomes while fostering productive working relationships will be key to your success.
This opportunity is offered as a 6-month contract on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Brisbane or Townsville. You will join a collaborative project team and play a key role in delivering critical construction works during an important phase of the project.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise SMP construction activities across surface facilities
• Coordinate contractors and site work fronts to achieve project objectives
• Monitor construction progress against project schedules
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site
• Support quality inspections and verification activities
• Review construction documentation and work packs
• Identify and resolve construction issues in collaboration with project teams

About You
• Proven experience supervising SMP construction activities on mining, resources, energy or infrastructure projects
• Strong exposure to surface infrastructure and process plant environments
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate contractors and multiple work fronts
• Sound understanding of construction quality requirements and compliance processes
• QA/QC experience or background will be highly regarded
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality project outcomes
