Here at Concentis, we exclusively partnering with a multi-national mining company to source a Construction Lead within the Civil discipline to oversee the pre-planning and delivery of a range of capital projects across this complex brownfield mine.
  
Within the owner’s team, you will supervise the day-to-day construction activities, undertake sub-contractor management, respond to technical queries, and lead a safe and quality working environment.

These project works include heavy civil mining infrastructure, haul road construction, service relocations, tailings and general bulk earthworks across the mine.

This is a client-side role, flying to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster engagement.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of project programs, ensuring that sub-contractors complete works to meet schedule and quality requirements, directing the progress of work and driving compliance
  • Provide daily supervision, direction and leadership to achieve targets in a safe manner for all portfolio works.
  • Management of the day-to-day interface with contracting partners, providing a focus on safety and the environment, together with quality and engineering aspects
  • Safety leadership in developing and maintaining a safety culture and ensuring contracting partners comply with safety policies and with all relevant HSE standards, regulations and practices
  • Leadership in environmental compliance and ensuring the construction contractor complies with environmental compliance requirements
About you:
  • Trades certificate in associated discipline; or equivalent qualification
  • Strong construction supervision experience within the mining, energy, or heavy industrial sectors
  • A background in civil-related capital projects, preferably within tailings, haul roads, or bulk earthworks
  • Demonstrated sub-contractor management experience in remote locations
  • Effective and collaborative communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Proven safety leadership with a strong understanding of construction and mining industry safety management systems
