Mechanical Project Engineer

At Concentis, we are working with a Tier 1 asset owner to find multiple Mechanical Project Engineers to work on a program of works associated with the Potable Water network for a large region of mine sites in WA.

Based in Perth, this role will be on a 12 month rolling contract working Monday to Friday, offering the chance to work on critical infrastructure projects with a Tier 1 mining client, with occasional site travel required.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare scope of works for all engineering associated with the projects.
  • Manage the Engineering Service Provider to achieve compliance to project schedule, cost and quality.
  • Ensure engineering compliance to applicable client and Australian Standards.
  • Co-ordinate design reviews and critically review Engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate technical queries with consultants (providing technical and site experience/input).
  • Supporting the Project Lead, review progress payment claims, review project schedule compliance, provide monthly progress reports to internal stakeholders, track project budget, prepare and review accommodation and monthly cashflow forecasts.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership in the field, engaging in Critical Risk Management ensuring the highest HSEQ standards are being met at all times.
  • Collaborate with project support functions (including procurement, cost analysis, estimators, planners, shutdown schedulers, travel, accommodation, and mobilisation teams).
  • Support onsite construction of projects Develop Quality management and commissioning plans for the project
About You:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years’ experience in Project Engineering
  • Experience in Potable Water assets, pumping, piping, filtration, or water treatment projects
  • Strong ability to work across a diverse range of stakeholders and operational teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership in the field
  • A valid manual ‘C Class’ driver’s license
