At Concentis, we are partnering with our Tier 1 mining client to find an Operational Readiness Specialist to work within the Sustaining Capital project framework and provide support in the delivery of rail projects. This is a great opportunity to increase your Operational Readiness knowledge and understanding of rail systems and network assets for projects from initiation through to implementation and closure of the project.
Reporting to the Superintendent of Operational Readiness, this role will be based in Perth, this role is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension, offering a dynamic mix of office-based work, flexible arrangements, and ad-hoc site travel as required.
Responsibilities: - Actively engage within the project study and delivery teams to ensure that the operational readiness requirements are identified and captured in the scope of work for implementation as part of project delivery.
- Provide support to the Management of Change process to identify and asset the impact on people, system, processes, and safety functions.
- Provide support to the Master Data and Long-Term Planning teams to ensure that they have the required information to develop comprehensive asset management strategies and tactics for asset handover.
- Engage with vendors, stakeholders, and the inventory teams to identify consumables and critical spares required on asset handover and manage the return to warehouse of project spares and recoverable spares.
- Work closely with impacted stakeholders, site operational readiness and capability development teams to ensure that all people have the necessary training and competencies to operate and maintain new assets, processes and systems post commissioning and handover.
- Work closely with the project team and stakeholders to develop and distribute necessary communications and documentation, including operating and maintenance notices, procedures, and manuals.
About You: - Certification in a mechanical discipline, with experience in heavy mobile equipment preferred.
- Experience with Asset Management strategy and tactics in the mining industry preferred.
- Experience with Functional Safety risk management process in the mining industry preferred.
- Experience with HAZOP risk management process in the mining industry preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in an environment with fast changing priorities.
- Ability to problem solve complex situations and forward planning.
- Ability to travel to site as required
- Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and facilitate approvals and project needs.
- A current ‘C’ class driver’s license.
