The company Concentis is partnering with
Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) to source a Project Manager - (Pre-Contracts) to help play a pivotal role within their Capital Projects team.
The Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is a commercial Statutory Authority whose purpose is to supply water in bulk to major consumers in the Gladstone Region. Those consumers comprise major industries, power generating organisations, and the Gladstone Regional Council. GAWB manages a variety of assets ranging from major water storage through to pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks and water treatment plants and operates and maintains recreational facilities including a fish fingerling hatchery and associated stocking program.
Their vision is to deliver safe and reliable water services to enhance the liveability of the region.
The role Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the front-end development of multiple water related infrastructure projects. As well as the implementation of regulation and process improvement initiatives, business case development, project plans and cost estimates whilst adhering to GAWB’s project management and regulatory framework.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, scopes, plans, estimates and specifications
- Maintain up-to-date schedules and registers for risk, cost, and scope
- Ensure stakeholder communication and engagement throughout the project life cycle
- Identify corporate and project risks within the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead the development and delivery of programs to achieve project outcomes
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and the Contract and Procurement team on project-related contractual matters
- Manage contract value and prepare variations as required
About you: - Qualifications in Engineering (Electrical), Project Management or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in project management or project implementation role
- Proven understanding of project management methodologies tools and governance
- Working knowledge of project/contract administration and cost control
- Proficient in SAP and the MS Office suite including MS Project
- Experienced in report writing with strong presentation skills
