Are you a hands-on Process Safety Engineer with expertise in Bowtie methodology, SFARP principles, and Major Hazard Safety Case Studies? Do you have strong facilitation skills and the ability to lead risk assessment workshops? If so, we have an exciting 6-month contract opportunity for you!

About the Role:
We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead and support a Major Hazard Safety Case Study, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. This is a highly hands-on role requiring technical expertise, workshop leadership, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and mitigating process safety risks, driving compliance, and delivering a comprehensive
safety case study by October.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a Major Hazard Safety Case Study by October.
  • Apply Bowtie methodology and SFARP principles to assess and mitigate risks.
  • Facilitate risk assessment workshops and engage cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct hazard identification studies (HAZID, HAZOP) and consequence modeling.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement safety recommendations.
  • Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders.
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Engineering degree (Chemical preferred, or other relevant discipline).
  • Proven experience in process safety engineering within high-risk industries.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques, major hazard regulations, and safety case development.
  • Excellent facilitation and workshop leadership skills.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and drive alignment on process safety initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
