About the Role: We are seeking a
Process Safety Engineer to lead and support a
Major Hazard Safety Case Study, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. This is a highly
hands-on role requiring
technical expertise,
workshop leadership, and
collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and mitigating process safety risks, driving compliance, and delivering a
comprehensive
safety case study by October.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver a Major Hazard Safety Case Study by October.
- Apply Bowtie methodology and SFARP principles to assess and mitigate risks.
- Facilitate risk assessment workshops and engage cross-functional teams.
- Conduct hazard identification studies (HAZID, HAZOP) and consequence modeling.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement safety recommendations.
- Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders.
What You Need to Succeed: - Engineering degree (Chemical preferred, or other relevant discipline).
- Proven experience in process safety engineering within high-risk industries.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment techniques, major hazard regulations, and safety case development.
- Excellent facilitation and workshop leadership skills.
- Ability to engage stakeholders and drive alignment on process safety initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
