Project Coordinator - Mining

We are partnering with a Tier-1 Mining Asset Owner who is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide reporting and administration support across their Major Projects Project Controls Team.

You will contribute on an innovative project by driving engagement within the team through project coordination, PowerBI dashboard development, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

This is an initial 12 month contract, Monday to Friday position based within the Perth Office offering flexible working from home options.

Accountabilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the project controls team to ensure smooth communication and assist in the preparation & gathering of necessary data for reporting
  • Develop and refine PowerBI dashboards to streamline data handling and reporting metrics across the team
  • Regularly update and maintain the Project Risk Register, ensuring all risks are accurately documented, categorized and assigned to owners
  • Facilitate monthly risk review meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on updates and actions
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency in project controls.
About you:
  • At least 3 + years of coordination, administrative or risk management experiencein a project environment, understanding of project workflows and terminology
  • Prior exposure to heavy industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Mining and Construction is seen as highly beneficial
  • Basic to intermediate PowerBI knowledge
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills to manage data and reporting systems effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and drive team alignment.
  • Process-oriented approach with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
