Here at Concentis, we are working with a Tier 1 mining client to find a Project Leader to join their team, driving impactful remediation initiatives across multiple mine sites. In this role, you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and lead critical projects through the early study phases, ensuring alignment with organisational frameworks and funding objectives.
This 12-month rolling contract role is based in Brisbane, with flexible work arrangements and monthly travel requirements to sites.
Key Responsibilities: - Project Management:
Lead multiple remediation projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Oversee early planning and study phases for environmental remediation projects to align with organisational frameworks and funding objectives. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including traditional owners, local authorities, and internal teams across multiple locations. Facilitate effective communication to navigate complex technical and cultural requirements. - Project Controls and Governance:
Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and control systems. Ensure strict adherence to governance frameworks, including processes for sustaining capital projects. - Site and Program Oversight:
Provide on-ground direction through monthly site visits, attending workshops, and supporting program execution across multiple projects simultaneously. - Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless execution. - Scope Management: Possess the necessary technical expertise to develop and manage project scope
About You: - Minimum 5 years of experience managing medium-to-large projects.
- Familiarity with remediation or closure projects highly regarded.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management fundamentals
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent (any discipline) will be advantageous.
- Proactive approach to seeking feedback for continuous development and growth in the role.
