The RoleReporting to the Manager Capital Program, this position is responsible for managing a portfolio of capital and priority projects within Councils established frameworks, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard. You will oversee all aspects of project planning, resource management, stakeholder engagement, contract administration and project reporting for full life cycle projects within the region.
- Manage full life cycle Capital projects within council frameworks and provide project management support
- Review Capital works programs, designs and tenders to identify cost-saving and risk mitigation opportunities
- Oversee project resources, budgets and plans to ensure delivery within budget and timeframes
- Manage contract administration including developing tender scoping and documentation
- Report monthly on project performance, plan, coordinate and facilitate project inspections, milestones and progress meetings
- Complete asset capitalisation tasks post project, enhance cost estimations and improve project planning
- Ensure safety, compliance and customer satisfaction by regularly reviewing project effectiveness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and foster productive networks
About You - Bachelor degree in Project Management, Construction Management (or related discipline). Or Substantial project management experience in project delivery and execution
- Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks
- Experience successfully building relationships and engaging stakeholder groups at all levels
- High level negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills as well as the MS Office suite
